Their fifth album "La Ilden Lyse", released this spring, is a refreshing gust of a stale basement clatter. It reeks both of raw black metal from the 1990s, and of angry punk, with sour undertone. You can plainly smell the old Voivod. When you plan that kind of music, you know you won’t perform on the largest stages, but you can earn cult following, which is exactly what the Norwegian Okkultokrati aim to achieve.
