When a metal band ends up in the finale of a TV talent show it’s quite a wonder, but when that very band plays a mix of technical nu-metal with progmetal and djent the wonder becomes a sensation. But this is just the beginning. Materia’s great albums – like “The Rising” (2019) – and live shows have proven that they are much more than a silver screen curiosity, and that, in fact, they remain one of the most ambitious, hard-working and innovative bands of the Polish scene.
